Bruno RIGUTTO, studied piano at the Conservatoire de Paris in the class of Lucette DESCAVES, chamber music with Jean HUBEAU, composition and conducting. After graduating from the Conservatory, he was very early winner of the Marguerite LONG competition in Paris and TCHAIKOVSKI in Moscow, chaired by Emil GILLELS. At seventeen, he meets Samson FRANCOIS, of which he will be, for ten years, his disciple. He quickly began an international career, invited by the greatest chefs: Carlo Maria GIULINI, George PRETRE, Lorin MAAZEL, Leonard BERNSTEIN, Zdenek MACAL, Serge BAUDO, Kurt MASUR, Marc SOUSTROT, Antonello GERMANI, Laurent PETITGIRARD.
He devotes himself to chamber music, through which he draws the necessary substance for his research. His partners were Isaac STERN, Mstislav ROSTROPOVICH, Arto NORAS, YOYO MA, Barbara HENDRICKS, Michel PORTAL, Patrice FONTANAROSA, Brigitte ENGERER, Laurent KORCIA, Marc COPPEY, Henri DEMARQUETTE, Dong SUK KANG, Alexander KNIAZEV, Augustin DUMAY, the Quartets DEBUSSY, MODIGLIANI.
His discography is important. He has recorded about 40 records for DECCA, EMI, FORLANE, DENON, LYRINX, and has won several record Grand Prix and a Victoire de la musique. The year 2014 saw the release of a box containing most of his records DECCA, from HAYDN to PROKOFIEV.
Conductor and composer, he is at the origin of several music of movies and theater, directed by Bernard MURAT.
He was made Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2007.
Teaching plays an important role in his life: He taught for more than twenty years at the National Conservatory of Paris, where he succeeded Maestro Aldo CICCOLINI.

He teaches today at Alfred CORTOT Normal School and gives master classes at SCHOLA CANTORUM
